Pets bring us great joy, and even health benefits, so it’s only fair that we take care of their health in return. The cost of veterinary care is a real concern for pet owners, and there are many ways we can help keep you on budget.
Our approach
Comparing individual items, you’ll likely find we aren’t the cheapest or the most expensive veterinary clinic. We keep our prices reasonable and our value high, with plenty of time with the veterinarian in our 30-minute appointments. Our dental and surgical prices follow the same philosophy.
Even though individual prices aren’t the lowest out there, we work to keep your total costs down. We don’t try to upsell you, or push procedures, products or lab tests your pet doesn’t need. We take the time to explain your options so you can make better short- and long-term choices.
We don’t mail out flashy coupons and then charge you for more than you really need. We rely on community outreach, our online and social media presence, referrals from satisfied clients, and the word of mouth we’ve earned serving you.
A few times a year we highlight different themes of care we want to encourage, with a small, limited-time discount on those services. Details are sent by email to existing clients.
Our community is rich with specialists of all sorts. We guide you through the process and give you reasonable expectations on costs, and sometimes we can do a follow-up visit instead of the specialist to help your budget.
We work hard to keep the cost of medications, food and preventatives reasonable. Our Online Store, through Covetrus, offers more choices than we could ever stock, and every product is safe and guaranteed by the manufacturer.

We’re proponents of pet insurance from the right company. No one likes paying for insurance, and a medical emergency is stressful enough, but sometimes life happens.
Our clients are very grateful to have insurance when they need it.
Insurance is where unexpected specialist costs can make the biggest difference.
We generally advise this, to keep premiums as low as possible over the long term.
Payment
To maintain our high standard of service, we require payment at the time services are rendered. Exceptions may be made in extenuating circumstances, only at the sole discretion of Clarksburg Animal Hospital’s management.
We provide estimates for all surgeries and hospitalizations. If you haven’t received one, you’re welcome to request an estimate for your expected charges at any time.
Please make checks payable to “Clarksburg Animal Hospital”. We don’t accept post-dated or temporary checks.
When unexpected illness strikes a pet, unexpected expense strikes as well. We understand, and we accept payment through the CareCredit program.

We accept cash, checks with valid ID, debit cards, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express, Apple Pay and Droid Pay.
Yes. We provide estimates for all surgeries and hospitalizations. If you haven’t received one, you’re welcome to request an estimate for your expected charges at any time.
We accept payment through the CareCredit program. It takes 5 minutes to apply, with 6 monthly installments, and you can apply online yourself.
Please make checks payable to “Clarksburg Animal Hospital” and bring valid ID. We don’t accept post-dated or temporary checks.
If a check is returned, there’s a $30 returned check fee and we won’t resubmit it. The balance, and any future payments, must be made with cash or credit card.
