Clarksburg Animal Hospital was started by Greta Stamberg with the intention of having a community based source for small animal care in a friendly, homey atmosphere. The primary goal of this hospital is to give every pet and pet owner the time and attention they deserve. Your needs are best met if we take the time to listen, ask questions, and then explain our recommendations and your options.
You will never leave Clarksburg Animal Hospital feeling like a number. It is important to us that we spend time getting to know you and your pet(s) and address all of your questions and concerns, so our appointments are 30 minutes long. We want to get to know you and your pets by name and develop a relationship which will last for years to come. This is the only hospital Dr. Greta owns. Her time and attention is focused here and she is always available in one place.
Clarksburg Animal Hospital is a full service veterinary hospital and all of our equipment is brand new. We provide routine exams and vaccinations as well as diagnosis and treatment for sick cats and dogs. We are capable of performing Heartworm tests, Feline Leukemia and Feline AIDS tests, a full urinalysis, CBC's and PCV's (Red and White blood cell counts), Giardia tests, and fecal exams in the hospital while you wait. All other lab work is sent out to a full service veterinary lab in either Baltimore or New York. In critical situations, we can even receive same-day results from the lab for blood drawn by 11am.
We are capable of performing dental cleanings with our ultrasonic dental scaler and polisher. Our hospital also has a brand new X-ray machine. It has been taking wonderfully detailed pictures which are developed while you wait. We provide the usual array of surgical services. Our surgery room has a circulating warm water blanket to keep pets warm during anesthesia, a radiosurgery unit (for cauterization), as well as pulse oximetry, temperature, blood pressure, and EKG monitors to keep track of all your pet's vitals during anesthesia.
We are happy to show off our new facility. If you would like to meet us or get a quick tour of our facility, feel free to stop by anytime. Dr. Greta or one of our staff would be happy to show you around. The space we have on the inside is more than you would expect from seeing the outside of the building.
